I first met Felicia Rusher of “I Still Call Australia Home” Luxury Hampers when she requested some photography for her hampers. She was just beginning to grow her business and needed images for her website. She wanted the photos to showcase not only the beautiful Australian art and delicacies that talented locals have crafted and produced but displayed in a way that was creative and beautiful and gave the purchaser a clear idea what they were purchasing. The products come in a beautiful keepsake box that can be used in years to come. We worked together to create some amazing flatlays mixing product with Australian flora that are now showcased on her website www.istillcallaustraliahome.com. To this day, she uses these images in all her promotions on the internet and magazines. That said, she again contacted me to create her corporate headshots for the website and for her press releases and promotions but she wasn’t wanting “corporate looking” shots. She wanted images that authentically showed her laid back personality as well as her love of Australian nature and ocean. Her brand is all Australian and so is she. I chose the headland at the end of Miami Beach. This was the perfect setting of ocean, rocks, trees etc. that would create the image she wanted. She included her puppy, Archie in some of the shots because he is also very important in her life and her love of animals is very much a part of who she is. Even in her business $1.00 of every hamper sold goes to the Australia Koala Foundation. We had a wonderful time capturing shots of who she is and have even become friends. Her business is a growing success and she reaches for the stars and grabs them. One of the perks of my job is that I meet people like Felicia who inspire me to work harder, dream big and be true to myself. Thank you Felicia.
Felicia kindly sent me a testimonial that I would like share:
After I engaged Linda for my product shots, I realised I also needed some fresh, appropriate portrait images for my new e-commerce business. After seeing the quality of her product work, I quickly asked her if she could do my portrait shots.
Like a lot of people, I am not a big fan of getting my photo taken, but Linda managed to make the experience not only bearable, but actually enjoyable! Her professionalism, creativity, and dedication to getting the perfect shot were second to none and I’ve had a phenomenal positive response to the quality of the images wherever I’ve posted them.
Linda ensured I had the right pose; the right light ;at the right time of day in the right location that suited my image and my business image. She also gave me posing advice to ensure no chicken necks and a ’slim line’ which is much appreciated. As a result I’ve got a suite of great shots from our afternoon shooting together that I am able to rotate and refresh on my site and online profile images.
